How to Make N300,000 or More Every Month From eCommerce Dropshipping Business
If you want to start an online business but not sure where to get started from, then you should start eCommerce dropshipping! Do you know why?
- You don’t need a shop to get started.
- You don’t need to stock up products in your house or store
- You don’t even need to see the product physically.
The only thing you need to do is to “Market the Products.” Don’t worry, if you don’t have any sales experience, towards the end of this article I will teach you how to sell physical products by leveraging on the power of Facebook/Instagram/Whatsapp etc.
Before I go any further, I’d like you to take away any thing that will distract you from reading this article as I have poured out my heart and experience into this piece. My expectation is that after you have read it, you’d be able to implement what I’ve taught and start your journey towards making 300k or more per month.
Are you ready to learn now? I guess you are, so let’s go!
First, you need to understand the concept of dropshipping and how to utilize this model to make money.
In simple terms, dropshipping is a process where a marketer helps the product vendor to sell his/her products without seeing or touching the products. It’s kinda similar to affiliate marketing, but just that in this case you are selling physical products and you decide your commission.
Of course, the dropshipper makes profit whenever he/she sells the products. The dropshipper runs targeted advertisement, takes the customer order and then forwards it to the vendor. The vendor then packages the item with the customer details and sends straight to the dropshipper’s customer.
Sounds Great Right?
Of course, it does! The model is very sweet! I have dropshippers doing very well in my group. All they have to do is to get the sales, then I’d prepare their customer order then send a dispatch rider to deliver or do a waybill if the item is going outside of Lagos.
How Do You Find Legit Vendors?
There are thousands and one vendors but offline and online, if you can go into the major markets like Mandilas in Lagos, Arena, etc, you’d be able to talk to these vendors directly. Ask them if they can dropship, then them that you will pull in at least 10 orders every day.
If they have a Whatsapp group, they’d add you to the group so you can start selling their products to make money. Another way you can find a good vendor is to go to JIJI Website. You can search for a product that you can sell, once you see that product, you then proceed to sending the vendor this message:
Good day Sir, my name is Victor, I’m a digital marketer that has sold over 600 pieces of XYZ item for different vendors. I saw your product and it seems like something I can sell easily. Can you give me a discount as I want to dropship with you?
Can you help me get a video and more pictures of the shoe? I’d appreciate if you have a Whatsapp group, please add my number 080******40. I hope to work with you for a , long-term period.
Many thanks
Victor
Make sure you send to 20 vendors at least, more than half of them will respond. The very serious ones will send you a message on Whatsapp to provide you with everything you need to start marketing. Some of them will accept to do pay on delivery for your orders.
What this means is that you don’t have to even purchase the product when you get an order, once you confirm the order, simply send the customer details to the dropshipper. He’d use his rider to deliver the job, if successful, he’d subtract the money for the item and the delivery fee, then send you the balance.
Imagine that you are able to do 10 orders a day and your profit is N5,000, punch your calculator, that’s N50,000 per day. Multiply that by 30 days and you’d get N1,500,000. Makes sense, right? This is just putting it lightly; you can make even more money from the eCommerce dropshipping business model.
What Kind of Products Should You Look Out For?
The best kind of products that you sell are products that solves problems. They are easier to sell, once you set up your marketing funnel the right way, I can tell you for free that you will make a lot of money from selling that product.
For Example;
This product is an exceptional product that can help people relieve stress. Almost everyone in Nigeria is stressed right now, the economy is not smiling and people have to work extra hard to take care of themselves and their families [for those that are married]. I feel for those average people with 5 kids oh!
You can get a supplier for this product on Jiji to sell to you for N5,000, then you can go ahead to sell it for N15,000 using Facebook advertising. I’d show you how to do that in the following paragraphs, it’s not rocket science!
The next thing you need to do after you get a vendor that you can work with is to set up a sales funnel. You need a website for this to work, don’t worry before you say argh I no get 100k for website, you can actually get a website with N3,500 from QServers.
Instead of purchasing a .com domain name, you can simply get a .com.ng domain name because it’s cheaper, I think it sells for N1,500 or thereabout. Then you can optin for their monthly hosting plan, they have an option for N1,700 a month. When you start making a lot of money, you can then upgrade.
After you have set up your funnel on your website, the next thing you need to do is to run targeted ads with Facebook ads. Without advertising, nobody is going to buy your product. Facebook has made it very easy for you to advertise your products and services to millions of people round the world from the comfort of your home.
With the click of some buttons, you can set up adverts to target people in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt etc. You can target them by their age, say from ages 30-60, you can target by specific interests, it all depends on what you are selling. The video below will show you exactly how to set up an ad.
This ads was set up specifically to sell shoes, that is the eCommerce product that I have been selling since 2021 and believe me; people buy shoes everyday! Click the play button on the video below to watch it.
If you are working with a dropshipper that can do pay on delivery in Lagos, it’s fantastic! You know why? You don’t have to pay upfront for inventory. After you have confirmed an order from your customer, you send it to the dropshipper who then packages your product and ship to your customer.
Most of them here in Lagos only offer pay on delivery in Lagos. So what you can do is to set up your ads and target only people in Lagos state. That way, it is easier for you and also for the dropshipper to quickly deliver the products.
Once the transaction is successful, the dropshipper removes the cost of his product plus the cost of delivery and then sends you the profit that you made. Very sweet business transaction, you only need to;
- Get the right products to sell
- The right dropshipper to work with
- Know how to target people who are interested in the product you are promoting
It’s actually not rocket science, I use the dropshipping model for the shoes I sell. I have a vendor who gives out the shoes on credit, after the delivery is made, I send her money to her account. But first, I had to build trust with this person.
Shoes sell, but there are other products that sell too. You just need to find them and look for a reliable dropshipper to work with. If you take this business seriously, if you implement what I’ve thought here, I can assure you that you are already on your way to make N300,000 monthly.
